DAAAANG!

Man, I haven’t updated in FOREVER. I’ve been pretty dang busy really. So let’s see. School has been going on for over a month now. It’s mostly okay, but I don’t really like history and senior design is kinda annoying because of all the extra BS we have to put up with. Otherwise classes are fine. I’m also working part time at IBM, on the Pervasive Computing Demo team. My primary responsibility is to create an RFID demo using some brand-spanking-new tools and code that IBM is just now creating. It’s pretty cool.

I’ve also been teaching myself how to play piano. Dan bought a piano a few months ago and I probably play it more than he does. Okay, I definitely play it more than he does. Anyway, I’ve improved a TON since he got it to the point that I can work my way through most songs after a few practice runs. I’m still definitely a beginner but I really enjoy it and wonder how long I can keep up this rate of improvement.

Another thing I’ve done is start my career search. I went to a career fair on campus a few weeks ago and talked to representatives for several companies. I interviewed with HP, which went just fine… but I’m not sure I like their locations and I doubt they have anything to offer that IBM can’t offer. Meanwhile I’m still searching for the perfect job. I’ve talked to quite a few people at IBM already and even have people helping me find the best job for me there. So chances are high that I’ll be sticking around at IBM, but we’ll see. I still think it’d be really awesome to work at NASA! =)

Yeah. At the end of this month I have to give a presentation on campus to a buncha folks about my IBM Extreme Blue co-op. Other “exemplar” co-op students will also be presenting. I’ve prepared my slides and have to give a mock presentation to the co-op folks this week. At least I get a free dinner out of it, and lots of people I know will be there!

Alright, at least I can say I’ve finally updated ye ole blog. I’m a busy guy, lemme alone. =)
