My sister got married!

Well, my sister’s wedding was this past Saturday. It was a good wedding, everything went smoothly. It was cloudy that day but could’ve been worse. The wedding was in what used to be a governor’s vacation house, I think. It was packed full of people, too, since we had more than we expected… around 60 or 70? Before the actual ceremony we showed a powerpoint my dad made with pictures of Beth and Brandon growing up. It was even choreographed to music! Seeing the pictures brought tears to my eyes even though I’d seen the powerpoint before! I guess it’s just the mood of the occasion. My cousin played piano and my aunt sang, which were both great. There was a lot of sniffling going on in the room! The reception was nice and relaxing, and there was a little bit of dancing too. I danced with Beth and my mom. When I danced with Beth I asked her if she was happy, and she said yes. =) I’m happy that she is, and I hope everything works out well.

I love looking at old pictures, so here are some for you to look at too! Pictures of me and my sister when we were younger. =) Congratulations, Beth. I love you.

my sister gets married in a few weeks… It’s fairly daunting to think about actually. Marriage is a huge life milestone and my sister getting married reminds me that she is grown up and that life isn’t what it used to be. I think seeing other people’s lives change help us see that our lives have changed as well and hopefully give us some perspective. Even though the pictures of you and your sister have nothing to do with me per se they give me that same perspective on life. Thanks for the reminder!
